What is a Curious Creature?
Curious Creatures can be found all over the world in all shapes and sizes, ages and upbringing. While our core crew is based in Amsterdam, our members are living all over Europe and the rest of the world. The friendly folks of the Curious Creatures community are an international happy bunch, from all walks of life! We dream of creating our own little haven at Nowhere, where anything is possible, a place to chill, dance, connect, frolic around, enjoy the shade, each other and organise workshops and rituals.

Curious Creatures is all about love, creativity, curiosity and connection. We are open-minded, and we celebrate diversity. A welcome community for all who want to explore more than the average person. We organise parties, workshops and activities. We build an amazing ‘burning man camp’ to go out to party, connect, and play at the playa knowing you have a lovely chill home waiting for you to retreat to. In our community you will meet like-minded people from all walks of life.
Community
We build together. We party together. We share our stories. We help our fellow camp members navigate the physical and emotional terrain of Nowhere and together create and enjoy ourselves.
Creation
At Curious Creatures we build a mansion with many hidden corners. From a bar, play space, workshop and chill-out area to a dance floor. We enjoy building big projects in and outside of our camp and always aim to expand the limits of our fantasies into reality…
ART
At Curious Creatures we encourage the creation of art. It is one of our cornerstones. It brings people together and teaches us new skills. We believe that it is possible to create whatever we dream of. Music, art, workshops, and decoration. Where there was nothing we build an amazing home at the playa. We have a big ateliers in Amsterdam and Barcelona where we come together to make our crazy artistic ideas come to life. We encourage everyone to help, initiate and collaborate! Do you have an idea but need the space? Or do you need extra funding? Through Curious Creatures you can make it happen!
Playfulness
We love a good party, but we also enjoy a chill out jazz session, musical jams or just enjoying each others company in cuddle puddles that might end up as playfights, or in a deep philosophical conversation about the gold at the end of the rainbow.
Sex-Positiviy
Curious Creatures is all about love and connection. Inclusivity and consent are two important sides of sex-positivity to us. Our space welcomes you if you want to explore your sexuality, or if you don’t, both are equally valued.
