Curious Creatures at going nowhere
Inside our CC dome at Northen Lights 2021
In 2019 we started with our ambitious “Curious Creatures Mansion” project, where we built the first floor of our Mansion. Then covid hit. No burn in 2020. We were lucky that CC could burn at Northern Lights in 2021, and for this burn we build an amazing dome of 6m high, and 10m diameter. We had lots of fun there and the dome is properly burn-proofed!
Of course, we brought this dome to Nowhere 2022. We expanded the mansion with a ‘second’ floor, more art, a proper bar, workshop, dance & chill spaces.
In 2023 we expanded our mansion with 2 flaming towers and projection mapping. We upgraded our showers and expanded our chill areas. We brought more new art pieces and even more ‘quality of life’ upgrades.
In 2025 we will be back! Curious Creatures is in the process of setting up the first steps of 2025 and you can help! We invite you to join again! Connect with your fellow Nobodies, join our daily workshops, hug, massage, be naughty or come have a chat, it’s all good.
What do we provide?
A large shadownet is constructed for extra shade

Build Nowhere 2022
In brief: All your essentials to not only survive, but thrive at Nowhere for a week.
Curious creatures community
Before, during and after the burn you will be welcomed in our various events. You can choose your own level of engagement, though many members love to participate, share stories, events, and party with us. Also outside of Nowhere we organise events in Europe, and you will be the first to know!
Morning circles
Every morning, once the sun has risen and chased us out of our beds and tents, we will host a morning circle. During this daily ritual we all take a moment to check in with ourselves and with each other. Nowhere can be awesome, but also quite intense. These morning circles are a very good opportunity to process everything, hear epic stories, to say when we are not OK, and to connect with our fellow camp members (and daily housekeeping points). We noticed throughout previous years that these morning circles were a great way to feel connected to the camp. We can highly recommend that you join them <3 !
Camp Calls
At Curious Creatures we think the fun starts before Nowhere. Curious Creatures is an international group of people, and we cannot all see each other in real life before the event. Therefore we have regular camp calls to easily get connected! People designing their outfits, making travel plans, making lists on what to bring, etc. We think Nowhere can be so much better if you know a bit about the people of the camp you are about to join. Hence we have a couple of camp calls before Nowhere starts. In our experiences we have seen so much good out of it! Such as a better connection when you arrive at Nowhere. Someone to share a ride with. Sharing resources. Brainstorming on a workshop you can give together.
Curious Creatures Bus from BCN to Nowhere (optional).
Is Norg (Nowhere Organisation) not organising their own busses? Then don’t worry, we will organise our own bus from Barcelona airport & trainstation to Nowhere and back again! We even make a pit-stop at a big supermarket for you to do all your groceries. This was a big success in 2022!
Workshop Space AT DAY…
We will have a workshop space in 2024. We highly encourage every Creature to host workshops, rituals, games or other organised public events. We’ll create an amazing stage for you to shine with your knowledge and skills. We have microphones and speakers available so everyone can hear you properly!
…Play area AT NIGHT
The workshop space will magically transform at night into a space where you can do (kinky) play and have sexy times with your playa sweetheart(s).
Curious creatures ateliers in amsterdam & Barcelona
Are you located or willing to travel to Amsterdam? Then join us in our amazing Curious Creatures HQ! We have a big artistic atelier space with enough room and all the tools to work on projects for Nowhere. You will feel right at home! In 2024 we also opened up a new atelier in Barcelona. Join us there as well to create wonderful things together.
Decompression
After Build, Burn and Strike on the Playa we ease into the normal world by decompressing together. For those who want to we rent a luxourious place to wash away the dust and the sins, and remenis over all the amazing things that happend on the Playa.
What do we expect from you?
Survival guide: You have of course read the going nowhere survival guide!
Be respectful: We expect all camp members to treat each other with kindness and respect, regardless of background, identity, or beliefs. We value diversity and inclusivity, and expect everyone to contribute to creating a safe and welcoming space for all. If you are not respectful and are i.e breaking consent rules, we will ask you to leave the camp.
Participate: Our camp is a collaborative effort, and we expect everyone to contribute in some way. We ask that all camp members participate in at least one kitchen shift & 1 other shift during the event, unless they have another lead/higher effort role. This helps ensure that our camp stays well-fed and nourished, and provides a great opportunity to bond with your fellow campers. Many hands make light work!
Communication: We expect all camp members to engage in communication with the rest of the camp prior to the event. We believe that open communication is crucial to building a strong and inclusive community, and we encourage everyone to participate in our communication channels to stay up-to-date on camp news, announcements, and discussions. We also encourage all camp members to contribute their own thoughts, ideas, and feedback to the community, and to be open to feedback and suggestions from others. We do not want to have ‘ghost - members’.
Practice self-reliance: As with any burn event, self-reliance is key. While we provide food, water, showers.. etc, but we do not provide tents or camping gear to survive the desert. We expect all camp members to come prepared with the necessary equipment and supplies to thrive during the event, including proper clothing, shelter, and personal hygiene items. Read the survival guide.
Leave no trace: We believe in minimising our impact on the environment, and expect all camp members to follow a "leave no trace" policy. This means cleaning up after yourself, properly disposing of trash and waste, and taking care not to damage the natural environment.
Follow camp guidelines: We may have specific guidelines or rules in place to ensure everyone's safety and well being. We expect all camp members to abide by these guidelines and work together to create a cohesive and enjoyable experience for everyone. So no naked cooking ;-).
What not to expect?
To manage your expectations, our camp is not the camp for you if you expect:
a Pay-and-play camp. We expect every member to do tasks, such as a kitchen shift with your team. This is normal for all barrio's. Nowhere is all about participation, and barrios are part of Nowhere: You make it happen, together! Don’t want to participate? Then free camping may be the way for you to go.
We have a strict no-creeps policy. Anyone who cannot adhere to common consent practice will be kicked out of our camp without hesitation. Camp member or not, it does not matter. Do not make your fellow camp members feel unsafe.
We are an inclusive camp, but not a PC-camp. We are of course LGBT friendly, that should be a given. We celebrate diversity. We are all people here. However, we do not police speech. We try not to be too heavy on the political spectrum. We are not a ‘woke’ camp, geopolitics camp, or a camp where politics discussions are the main focus point. Many of us live the life, and during this holiday we try to escape from the political landscape in the never ending news cycle. If you are overly sensitive for ‘political correctness violations’, then we may not be the camp for you.
We are not a sex-only camp. Yes, public displays of love may happen in our camp, but it is not our main focus. Sexuality is one of the aspects of curiosity, but not the only one. Curious Creatures is so much more. If you only join our camp to expect to have lots of sex and only sex, we are not the camp for you.
Camp contribution
Building a camp cost effort and money. You contribute your time and effort by taking up one of the roles. The cost of infrastructure 275 euro; This will provide you with all the water you need, the kitchen, logistics, showers, lights, buildings/shade, storage, generator, etc. On top of this we expect to add a budget 100 euro of food costs for the whole week. This makes a camp contribution of 375 euro a person.
